Dr. Khaled Alhomsi

General Dentist and Practice Owner

Dr. Alhomsi graduated from high school in 1992 with distinction, and chose to become a dentist because it enabled him to combine several of his interests – art, science, and entrepreneurship – and direct them toward providing a valuable human service.

He graduated as a dentist from Damascus University in 1997 and worked in public hospitals in Damascus until opening his own dental office. In 2000, Dr. Alhomsi furthered his education by attending the University of Lyon in France to obtain his post-graduate in orthodontics. From 2003 to 2009, he practiced orthodontics, as well as many other branches of dentistry, including complete oral rehabilitation, smile makeovers, gingival cosmetic surgery and grafts, fixed dental prosthodontics, and many others!

Thriving for freedom, and the western quality of life, Dr. Alhomsi moved to Canada in 2009 to settle down in Montreal, where he was required to complete dental school for a second time to practice as a dentist in Canada. He graduated with his DMD degree in June 2013 and soon after graduation, moved to St. Albert with his wife, and two young boys, to start practicing dentistry again.

Dr. Alhomsi is a general dentist, but is able to provide a wide variety of dental services at the highest standard of care due to his constant thirst for knowledge, and the formal continuing education he has acquired over the years. This includes completing the dental implant program at the Misch Institute in Toronto. In-office implant tooth replacement is a service that he takes pride in being able to offer to his patients for a seamless, comfortable experience.

Dr. Alhomsi opened Motivo Dental in February 2017, where he and his entire dental team maintain a great relationship with their patients, and do their very best to provide a positive dental experience!

FUN FACT: Besides English, Dr. Alhomsi also speaks fluent French and Arabic!
